Dr Chris and Nurse Claire Koulos (Diploma of Enrolled Nursing), a passionate husband and wife team, are owners of Burnside Cosmetic and have experience and expertise in medical cosmetic treatments. With over 25 years industry experience, their “Centre of Excellence” focuses on the client’s journey and is equipped with state of the art technology, an in-house doctor, and a discreet professional service. Dr Chris Koulos
Dr Chris Koulos is a graduate of The University Of Adelaide and is the owner and Medical Director of Burnside Cosmetic.
With nearly three decades of experience, Dr Koulos has successfully transitioned from family medicine to 100% aesthetics.
He has been extremely passionate at establishing a stand-alone aesthetic practice, opening his doors in June 2015. with the focus to be a “Centre of Excellence”
Dr Koulos’s practice philosophy is to offer minimally invasive procedures ranging from cosmetic injectables to skin cancer checks and surgery, laser treatments including facial rejuvenation, tattoo removal, treatments for rosacea, hyperpigmentation, acne, spider vein removal and non-invasive fat reduction and cellulite reduction treatments.
Dr Koulos has an eye for detail, takes great pride in his work and always works closely with his clients. He also ensures all treatments are preceded by a consultation and that clients are followed up after their treatment, usually with an appointment.
When he’s not working, Dr Chris is an avid soccer fan, and enjoys nothing more than attending Adelaide United games. He loves spending time with his lovely wife and two children and has a very special place in his heart for his very spoilt rescue dogs (and a good locally produced gin or two)! For decades Dr Chris has been a part of the official medical team looking after the drivers at the Superloop ADL 500 (formerly Clipsal).
About Claire Koulos
Practice Manager and Enrolled Nurse Claire has extensive Pharmaceutical and Medical Sales experience. Claire worked nationally as a Medical Sales Representative for several leading medical and dermatological companies for over 20 years. Burnside Cosmetic is the culmination of her and Dr Chris’s desire to grow old doing something together.
Mother of 2 adult children and step-mother of 2 + mother to 3 rescue fur babies, Claire is a genuine nurturer. Given her life experience and her past study and work experience, Claire has a great deal to offer her clients. Having completed a Bachelor of Science (Physiology and Pharmacology (1990), as well as an Honours Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1992), both from The University of Adelaide, Claire is passionate about self-development and loves inspiring others to constantly evolve. Most recently Claire completed her Diploma of Enrolled Nursing from Open Colleges (2018), to ensure she has the appropriate background to commence her cosmetic injecting journey and to be of even more value to the clinic.
Claire is a qualified cosmetic injector* and is passionate about delivering clients outstanding service, knowledge, and a personalised tailored treatment experience at Burnside Cosmetic. She is an experienced Dermal Therapist, Aesthetician and Laser Technician.
Being a doctor and nurse team, patients have peace of mind that they are under medical supervision at all times. It’s the little things that Dr Chris & Claire do for their patients and their techniques that makes all the difference to the client experience at Burnside Cosmetic.
*Appropriate Registered Nurse supervision is in place for all cosmetic injectable appointments.
